This week I'm off for March break.
No Kiefer is not in school yet so he's not technically on school break but I had some vacation time and Stats I needed to use by the end of March. That's means no work for 7 days!!
We spent tonight exploring GOOP.
It was messy and a lot of fun. It's amazing how much cornstarch, baking soda and water can entertain a child so much.
It was a such a hit we will definitely be doing this again.
Recipe:
1 cup baking soda
1 cup cornstarch
1/2 cup water.

Live Fit
A lot of the girls at work are all working towards being healthy.
My partner at work, who busted her knee has been on Weight Watchers for 2 weeks and has lost an amazing 6lbs.
Another co-worker 'D" has gone back to the gym and has gone 5 days last week.
AWESOME!!
And Melissa, has started going back to the gym as well.
This is all very inspiring and also helpful.
When everyone is on the same page it seems a lot easier.
We've had less treats at work, which in turn helps me eat a little healthier.
I've started eating healthier and going to the gym more regularly.
My goal?
Just be healthy.
I've always been lucky. I could eat anything and not gain a single pound. I still can but I realize just because I can doesn't mean I should...
Plus just because Im skinny doesn't mean Im in shape.
I had no energy. I had no stamina and felt pretty crummy. All because of what I put into my mouth and lack of movement.
The past 30 days I've been eating healthy food, less junk (I tried to eat none ... but some days I gave in) and I've committed to going to the gym 3 days a week.
Monday, with Melissa its going to turn hardcore.
At least hardcore for me...
We will be doing Jamie Eason's Live Fit Program.
Ok, so Melissa will be doing it.
She's asked me to join her and I'm going to try ... but it's a huge change.
I'll be honest and say I'm very hesitant.
It appears to be very strict and although I have been eating healthier, it's nothing at all compared to Jamie's Menu.
Did I mention I'm also very picky?
Thank goodness Melissa works the exact same schedule as me because Im going to need all the support I can get.

Inspired
People may think that I work out ... After all I do have a gym membership.
But having a gym membership and actually using it are two different things.
Occasionally I use it but not enough that I have killer abs like Kristen, or even keep up with my own crazy child who could easily out run me in any race.
I had a really good week about two weeks ago. I worked out everyday with a work out video and even hit up the gym 3 times. Then my work out partner blew out her knee, I got sick and it all went out the window. There it has stayed.
Until today.
I am starting over. Again. I don't know how many times this is... I feel like I'm 12 again and trying to read the Book of Mormon through to the end but I just keep reading the first line over and over again. " I Nephi, being born of goodly parents...."
See what I mean? And that's off the top of my head. No need to look that very first verse up. I'm sure most of us have been there at one point.
So I've created a motivational board. Made a calendar to keep track and did my first work out (again) today. Hopefully I can keep it up and get pass the hump. Any one have tips to get past the hump?

Welcome back
It's been awhile. I don't know if anyone even missed me but I've decided to start up again as I have been horrible at keeping tabs on Kiefer's activities and growing up.
Blogging helps me remember all we do. It's my way of journaling.
A quick update on what we have been up too.
Kiefer is still bowling every week and he loves it.
We've also gotten lots of snow, and Kiefer loves every inch of it. He's been playing outside every chance he gets.
Myself, I've been in a rut. So I've made a few goals to help me. I'm assuming its just winter blahs. I'll be very happy when spring rolls around. I will share my goals as I start to firm them up more and get them rolling. Those will be their own posts :)
Hope you will follow along.
